Morton 201 Board honors Cicero, Berwyn Police for crisis management assistance
At the Morton 201 Board of Education's regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 14th, the board honored the Cicero and Berwyn Police departments for their assistance during the threat incident that occurred in late April. Morton 201 acting Chief Executive and Morton East principal Frank Zarate and Morton West principal John Lucas presented certificates of appreciation on behalf of the Board to Cicero Police Supt. Tony Iniquez and Berwyn Police Detective James Sassetti. Both Zarate and Lucas praised Cicero and Berwyn police for their attentiveness and professionalism in assisting Morton 201 administration in handling the situation.

"Our job as a district is to provide a safe environment for our students to learn," said Morton 201 Board President Jeffry Pesek. "We can not thank the Cicero and Berwyn Police enough for their assistance in ensuring the safety of all Morton 201 students during this time."
