Morton East captures Chicagoland High School Video Festival Awards5/8/2008 12:00:00 PM The 15th Annual Chicagoland High School Video Festival was held at the NIU Educational Center in Hoffman Estates on April 25, 2008. Morton East won the First Place award in the Animation: Stop Motion video category for the production "Watch Me As I Grow". Additionally, East also won the First Place award in the Drama video category for the production "Solitary Confinement" and took Second Place in the Commercial video category for the production "Return of the King".

The Mustangs' soccer team improved to 11-4-2 on Monday with a 5-0 win over Queen of Peace. Goalkeeper Jackie Galarza posted her 10th shutout of 2008 while Beatriz Hernandez had 2 goals, Carmen Hernandez had 2 goals and Alma Salgado had 1 goal.

The Mustangs (11-12) defeated Hinsdale South 9-3 on Tuesday in Darien to improve to 5-8 in the West Suburban Conference Gold Division. Nick Campolattara pitched a complete game after surrendering just 2 earned runs. He also had 2 singles and 4 RBIs at the plate. Ed Davila had a single and 2 RBIs.
